Samvad Aide, Rudraprayag: Chardham Yatra 2024: The process of opening the doors of Kedarnath Dham will start on Sunday with the worship of Lord Bhairavnath at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. On Monday, the Panchmukhi Utsav idol of Baba Kedar will leave for Kedarnath Dham from Omkareshwar temple in a palanquin. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has also started preparations to open the doors of the Dham.
The special worship of Bhairavnath, the protector of Kedarpuri, will start at Omkareshwar temple at 7 pm on Sunday evening, and will last for about three hours. RC Tiwari, executive officer of the temple committee, said that after the puja on May 6, the festive procession of Baba Kedar will leave from Omkareshwar temple and reach Vishwanath temple in Guptkashi for night rest.
Doli will reach Phata on May 7, Gaura Mai Temple in Gaurikund on May 8, and Kedarnath Dham on May 9. The doors of the Dham will be opened as per the rituals on May 10 at 7 am. This time Shivshankar Linga has been given the responsibility of chief priest for Kedarnath Dham. Inspected the markets along the travel routes
New Tehri: On Saturday, the markets of Kirtinagar, Maletha, Bagwan, Mullyagaon, Devprayag, etc., the main stops of the Chardham Yatra route under Tehsil Kirtinagar and Devprayag, were inspected. During this period, petrol pumps, hotels, dhabas, restaurants, and general stores were inspected.
After inspecting four petrol pumps, 72 hotels, and dhabas, instructions were issued to maintain cleanliness, display price lists, and prepare food items as per requirement. Notices were issued to three dhabas for not having registration certificates. Four Dhaba operators were instructed to use commercial cylinders. Rate lists were not found displayed in many hotels and dhabas falling on the Yatra route, where rate lists were pasted on the spot.
The Metrology Department issued a challan to four traders for not submitting verification certificates of weighing instruments. Security officer Balwant Chauhan of the Food Safety Department, Pradeep Raturi Arjun Singh of the Legal Metrology Department, etc. were present in the team. Senior Food Officer Sharda Sharma along with the team inspected the towns of Chamba-Mussoorie motor road.
